Your Donations Matter

St. Michael’s Russian Orthodox Cathedral relies on donations to preserve our historic sites throughout Sitka, maintain the Cathedral building itself, protect our sacred art, preserve the thousands of historic artifacts, and fund further research.

In addition to the preservation of our history, St. Michael’s is a living and operating parish, with Weekly Divine Services and outreach programs in the community of Sitka.

The wear of time and wet weather here in Sitka have put us in a place of great need.

Here is a short list of issues pertaining to just the building — your donations help greatly:

+ As you can see from the photo - our roof has several leaks

+ Our basement needs waterproofed, as it floods often

+ The exterior needs painted and some wood needs replaced

+ The interior wooden floors need refinished

+ The carpet in the altar needs replaced

This is just a small selection of the major needs just pertaining to the building itself. We need your help to save this historic building.

Please consider being a monthly donor, even just $5 a month makes a difference.
